Up for sale is my 1989 Honda CRX Si. I am the second owner of the vehicle and it was 100% stock when I purchased it. Since then numerous upgrades have been done, but it’s time I hand it off to someone that has more time and has a garage to keep it in.

History of the car:
Roughly 3-4 yrs ago a friend in Tennessee named Kyle knew I was looking for another car and spotted this mint condition CRX in town. He got the owners number and we talked on the phone and emailed a few times. They didn’t own a digital camera and they were about to retire and move to Colorado. Their plan for the car was just to store it and not even sell it. Reluctantly the original owners and I agreed on a price and I booked a 1-way flight to Tennessee with cash in my pocket never even seeing a photo of the car. I even skipped the test-drive, because I was sold the moment I saw it. It really was too good to be true.
The photo above was taken the day I bought the car. I immediately went to Best Buy for a nice Alpine head unit so the drive home wouldn’t be so boring.
The car ran without a hitch. I am kinda killing myself that I just didn’t leave it stock and just drive it as is, but I had another EF hatch with a lot of parts waiting to go onto the car.
Under the hood I added just a few simple things: an HKS intake that I’ve had for 10 years, a 4-2-1 header and a Neuspeed strut bar I bought new for the car. I also opted to upgrade the lights to European glass h4 housings, with motorized up/down motors to adjust the beam height from inside the car. Instead of H4 bulbs I’ve added 4300k Philips HID bulbs and Denso ballasts. Casper shields are also in place so that this setup doesn’t blind the other drivers on the road. It’s an extremely nice setup for this car.
Outside and underneath the car I’ve added 16×7 +35 Volk Racing CV-Pro wheels. In order to run these wheels longer wheelstuds from a 3.2 TL (rear) were added all around. The front brakes are fastbrakes 10″ rotors from a VW Corrado G60 with Integra calipers. The rotors are Brembo blanks and Hawk pads (I think that’s the pads). The rear brakes are stock drum brakes. The suspension consist’s of PIC Performance coilovers in the softest springrate available (8k/6k) which look to be discontinued. I’ve added Suspension Techniques swaybars to the front and rear as well. The front end suspension has Mugen hard rubber, replaced upper balljoints and another set of lower balljoints still in the box (during the engine swap I damaged them, just haven’t taken the time to replace with the new ones yet). The tires are Riken, nothing special there. The exhaust consists of a RS-R Exmag, which has a great sound to it and is pretty quiet. It too has been discontinued. The rear spoiler is from a European model that I bought off eBay. The mirrors are TYC spoon style mirrors with custom mounting plates.
NOTE: All OEM parts, except the steering wheel and wheels are still in my possession, but are 7 hours away in a family member’s attic. Please email me if you’re interested in purchasing the vehicle.
