Road Atlanta – BMW HPDE July 4th
Posted: July 5th, 2009 | Author: Andy | Filed under: Road Atlanta | 4 Comments »I went up to Atlanta this past weekend for a few things, including this High Performance Driving Event (HPDE). It was fun spectating and taking these photos. I hope you enjoy them. I’d love to continue photographing events like this.

Rebecca is one of my friends. Here she is tearing it up in her 1 series. Fun car. She let me drive it once.

I guess this owner really likes his paintjob. The black mark is dust on my camera’s sensor.

ZR1 Corvette. It was aaaamazingly awesome. What is it 638 HP stock? Like I said… amazing. A good $100k spent right there.

This wagon was sitting perfect. I almost would want to trade the coupe for somethin like this. Almost.

Brake job I guess?

I used to own a yellow crx, so I had to stand by this alpha romeo for a photo.

GT3’s were commonplace, but this was the only GT2 I think that was there.

One of the coolest things about this track is the elevation change. I bet it’s scary.

Looks to be at home on the track.

Incredible shot of Rebecca’s 1 again. Impressive brakes for a factory setup!

I wished I had gotten video of this Porshe. It sounded so mean.

I’m not sure who he was motioning to pass, but it was a nice lookin car.

I think the zr1 deserves to be posted twice.

The Audi sounded great. I need to convince a local to take his to the track too.

Out of respect and the requests of others, I’ve removed a few photos from the gallery. If you have any copies of the photos please delete them immediately.
great pictures, that track is amazingly fun to drive. i was out there for my 4th time in the 240sx and it’s still not getting old.
The track indeed looks awesome to drive. Were you the one with the v8 powered 240? It sounded great! You were keeping up too.
If anyone knows anyone I want to cover the petit le mans this fall. I REALLY would love that.
That’s the one. Works out as a good reliable package with great power and handling. Not saying I wouldn’t rather have a Corvette, but it’s as close as i can get on my budget
